We are able to give a quote for garden or planting designs after an initial
consultation, once we know what you would like from your garden, and what
you would like from us. We charge £50 for the initial on-site consultation.
Should you decide to commission us, we will subtract this fee from the final invoice.The prices for garden and planting plans vary depending on factors such as
the area, complexity and design requirements of the project at hand.
We calculate our quotes by projecting the time it will take to complete a given
project, based on an hourly design rate of £30. As a budget guideline,
our planting plans start from £175 for a small border, and our garden designs
start from £450 for a small back garden.
We can provide black and white plans or hand-coloured plans. Clients commission
our hand-coloured plans as a future reference for colour grouping, but also as an
elegant memento of the finished garden itself. We can even provide elevation
sketches and axonometric projections (3D drawings) of how the designs will look
as actual gardens. These are particularly suitable for clients who require a
dimensional visualisation of the finished result.
Our rates for planting, setting out and maintenance are £20 per hour.
For these activities we can provide a rough estimate of the time it will take,
and our final invoice will be based on a time log of hours worked.
